Mega Sena, Brazil's Millionaire Maker In An Instant

If you are in Brazil and intend to make some millions, then consider the Mega Sena. This is the largest lottery in Brazil held by the Caixa Economica Federal bank. The game pays millions to the right of the six drawn numbers. It offers the opportunity of being a millionaire to the game players by providing for the highest odds.

The draws take place twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The minimum bet of six numbers cost $1.50 with the chances of winning increasing with the increase in number. The drawings consist of selecting globes of two spinning spherical cages. They are selected in pairs so as to form a two digit decimal number from 01 to 60.

The first cage consists of balls that range from zero to five and the other has balls ranging from zero to nine in the second digit. In situations whereby the number 00 arise, a replacement is made by placing the number 60 for the purposes of prize. When two distinct two digit numbers are drawn, the drawings come to a conclusion.

How to play

The game can be played either by purchasing the betting lottery tickets from the retailers or on the internet. The instructions and information for betting are available on the back of the betting ticket so one does not need to struggle finding the relevant information. Contestants may bet in the range of six to fifteen numbers out of sixty.

Prizes are granted by scoring four, five or six points. A person does not have to worry even if he misses six because there are prizes for other combinations. Bet prices vary depending on how many possible groups out of six numbers exist within those chosen. As such, they vary between R$1.75 for six numbers in a single game to R$ 8,758.75 for fifty numbers in up to five -thousand and five games.

The odds for the biggest price when placing a minimum bet are one in 50,063,860. Row prices correspond to forty six percent of row income from bets. Out of this percentage, thirty six percent will go to individuals who scored six numbers, nineteen percent to those who scored five numbers and another nineteen percent to those who scored four numbers.

Twenty two percent will accumulate for a special drawing that takes place once every five times and five percent accumulating for a special drawing that occur at the end of the year. Thirteen point eight percent from all the previous items will be deducted by income tax. The net value for prizes stands at thirty two point two percent of lottery earnings.

The winners only have ninety days to claim and withdraw their prices. This is done by presenting the winning bet ticket in any of the lottery houses or the Caixa Economica Federal bank in cases where the prize exceeds R$ 800. If 90 days expire without any claim, the prize money is transferred to the national treasury and invested in educational programs. You must therefore keep checking.
