We have all seen the old movies with the police car charging down a city street with its single light flashing and siren blaring. It's an iconic image and an enduring one. However, our emergency response vehicles need far more sophisticated warning lighting now and a single flashing light just isn't enough. Enter, the modern light bars. They are versatile, reliable and come in many different size units. The light bars fitted to vehicles are excellent for visibility and can come in a tiered bank of lights that would be extremely difficult to miss by other road users.

The colors needed on any light bars would be dependant on whether it was police, fire, EMT or other vehicle using the light bars. Such published bid requests can be very detailed, even down to the wattage of certain bulbs! Of course, the Internet is awash with suppliers of light bars and can be a good place to start if you need to check out prices and retailers. You may find that some departments will pass on details about the retailers they use and this is an excellent way to find a good, reliable retailer.
