Where are the best places to put Emergency Lights on your car?
There are so many different locations on your car that you can mount emergency lights – how are you supposed to choose the best ones? They are not all created equal, are they? Well, this will be based on your personal needs, but here are some of the most common areas people mount emergency lights on their cars.
The dashboard of your car is the main place that most people put emergency lights. They are out of the way here, yet when you are racing to the scene of an emergency, people will automatically take notice of you. Another good thing to consider about emergency lights on your dashboard is that a lot of the units aren't attached. You can take them down and put them on your passenger seat when you are not using them.
You may be wondering why you would need emergency lights on your rear deck lid. After all, people don't need to avoid you if they are already behind you, right? Wrong! A set of emergency lights on your rear deck lid will stop people from running into you or your car when you are stopped at the scene of an emergency. All too often when people see an emergency happen, no matter how big or small, they start to stare. This means they are more likely to hit you. Some flashing lights can help prevent this.
If you have a set of emergency lights on your roof, there is almost no chance that people will miss you when you are responding to an emergency. Some people are hesitant to put emergency lights on the roof of their car because it looks ostentatious and makes their car look like a police car, but this is something you will have to determine for yourself. If you want to get noticed by all means possible, you need some lights on your roof. A simple light bar is usually more than adequate.
The front grill of your car is a great place to put some emergency lights. One of the main benefits to using this area is that you can actually hide the emergency lights behind your grill so they are almost invisible when they are not in use. Then, when you turn them on, everyone will notice them and they will do their job. It is a good idea to put some lights on your grill.
In addition to the aforementioned areas, there are some other places where people choose to put emergency lights. These are not as common as your traditional areas, but some like to put emergency lights near the side markers of their car, some like to put them on all four corners or their car, and some odd people like to put them everywhere there is an open space. Only you will be able to determine where you need to put all your emergency lights to get the most benefits.
There are many places on your car where you should have emergency lights to keep you safe. If you take a quick walk around your car, you will be able to determine all the most important spots that need emergency lights and design a system to accommodate those needs. It's not as hard as you think!
