Think of your red laser like selecting a new car to drive, you must consider performance, style, warranty, price, etc.

Finding a red laser pointer that you will have for the next several years for brilliant red light use is something worth spending a few minutes of research on. A few dollars can go a long way with red lasers, and you do not want to order something that isn't going to live up to the current standard of technology.

Consider the red laser beam frequency, typically 650nm, also what type of output power you are looking for.
