Ford invests a significant amount of time and money investigating ways to improve driver safety and the overall driver experience. There are several safety features in the 2010 Ford F250. Standard safety features include antilock disc brakes, driver and passenger side SRS airbags, the BeltMinder seat belt warning system, color-coordinated seat belts with height adjustment, an electronic tire pressure monitoring system, and the SOS-Post Crash Alert System which automatically unlocks the vehicle doors, sets off the horn, and triggers the four-way flashers upon deployment of the airbags. Rear parking sensors and traction control are optional, as well as power-adjustable pedals on automatic transmission models.
Safety and security go hand-in-hand, and Ford offers many security options on their 2010 F250 models. The Securilock Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) which requires the use of specially code keys before the engine will start, a remote keyless entry system, and the Securicode keyless entry pad are standard options depending on the F250 model chosen.
The Ford F250 heavy duty pickup is available in several body style and trim options. It comes in three different engine choices, all capable of hauling and towing large loads. Buyers can also choose between manual and automatic transmissions and two- or four-wheel drive versions.
