2009 Honda Civic Hybrid

The long awaited 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid has been officially released. One of the most exciting American hybrid cars the Civic Hybrid is a visual treat. The extreme stylish exterior of the car has fascinated thousands of car lovers. Accented with Bluetooth gadgetry, stereo system with MP3s and stability control system the Civic Hybrid is going to rule the automotive industry.

The 2008 version has been updated with a few improvements. 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid will come in two new sedan variants; the LX-S and the DX-VP giving the customers the opportunity to go for their favorite model at a reasonable price. Featuring improved interior, revised styling, added safety features and advanced technology Civic Hybrid is sure to surpass all the 2008 hybrid cars.

The difference between '08 and '09 has brought dramatic changes to the model. The striking difference can be seen in the lower bumper with a slightly restyled grille, three air intakes and new color combination of the headlight. The taillight on the other hand incorporates amber bulbs and turn indicators.

2009 Honda Civic Hybrid features some new trim levels as well. The piece of chrome trim above the rear license-plate holder is an added feature for the 2009 sedans. The Si is equipped with standard fog lights. The SI as well as the Civic EX, EX-L contains a new set of alloy wheels.

The improved interior includes cloth seating surface. The comfort feature of the car is enhanced with the leather and heated seats. The heated side mirrors and the leather-wrapped steering wheel make your driving experience even more comfortable. The stylish patterns match the trim on the armrests as well as the door linings. Combining a electric engine and gas engine for 11 horse power the 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid can run on both power sources either the 140-hp 1.8 liter 4 cylinder engine or the 197-hp 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine.

Critics said that the 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid adds a new level to the Civic range. The current model with single central intake has been replaced by a three-intake design of the new front bumper. The chrome bar with the Honda "H" has been surrounded by more angular grille- opening. Thought the changes are minor they have brought a more sporty effect to the new model.
